Hydrosphere. Why is it so Important?

It’s really important to have knowledge about our hydrosphere. Hydrosphere is described as the watery layer of our planet’s surface and because of this, this makes earth unique to other planets. Our world is consisting of 70% of water. It includes the bodies of water- ocean, lake, sea, pond, and many more. It has a very significant role in our life. But some of us are just taking it for granted.

Hydrosphere is also called as the “water sphere”. Water is really important to us. Humans, animals, plants, and other living creature or organisms can’t live without it because we all know that all living creatures are made up of water also. It’s part of our daily needs. We use it for drinking, taking a bath, cooking, cleaning, and many more. We can also use it for generating electricity through hydropower. It’s also the home for many plants and animals. There are so many uses that our water could give.

The movement of water here on out planet is called water cycle. It’s also important as water is important to us. It’s that cycle where water that is being evaporated to the earth’s atmosphere, condenses, then precipitate. This cycle produces rain. Rain is important too because it is also a big help to our environment especially to our plants/crops. And the water that we use is the continuous replacement which is the result of the water cycle.

But our world is now changing. Of course, the hydrosphere is also changing.  And when the there is a change in the hydrosphere, the three spheres of the earth is also affected- lithosphere, atmosphere, biosphere. Global warming is the main cause of it. The heat that we’re experiencing today is different to the years that passed. The much heat causes for the evaporation of water to go faster which will result lot precipitation. The lithosphere is affected, like for example the erosions.

We should be thankful for what is around us.  Just like our hydrosphere. We should take care of it so that we could still use it and also for the next generations.
